Advancement Criteria / National Championship

When there are 3 teams         Only 1st Place may advance for D1      1 team may advance for D 2.
When there are 4-6 teams                  2 teams may advance for D1      2 teams may advance for D2.
When there are 7-9 teams                  3 teams may advance for D1      3 teams may advance for D2.
When there are 10-12 teams             4 teams may advance for D1      4 teams may advance for D2.
When there are 13-15 teams             5 teams may advance for D1      5 teams may advance for D2.
When there are 16-18 teams             6 teams may advance for D1      6 teams may advance for D2. 
When there are 19-21 teams             7 teams may advance for D1      7 teams may advance for D2.
When there are 22-37 teams             8 teams may advance for D1      8 teams may advance for D2.
 

The District Sport Director and/or the National Chair may each name one additional qualifier for
Division 1 and Division 2 for each additional increment of 3, starting with 22 teams.
 
Teams that finish in 5th Place or lower which qualify for Division 1 may choose to use their bid for
either Division 1 or Division 2 or both.

EXCEPTIONS: In the 8u / 2nd grade, 9u / 3rd grade and Sr. Boys Division all teams are
eligible to compete in the National Championship.
